How do I back up multiple SQL servers?

  1. Edit your profiles\sgconfig.ini
    • On VISTA, Windows 7, and 2k8: C:\ProgramData\steelgate\Steelgate Version\profiles\sgconfig.ini
    • On XP, 2K3: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\steelgate\Steelgate Version\profiles\sgconfig.ini 

  2. Add a section called “plugins” then add a “AddSqlServers” key with 1 or more servernames comma delimited
EXAMPLE:

[plugins]
AddSqlservers= MYSERVER\SQLEXPRESS2008,MYSERVER2\SQL2008

Restart the Steelgate Service before you re-open the program.
